Energy, Infrastructure & PPP
Energy, mining and infrastructure continue to be the strategic investment sectors in Serbia, and will likely play a central role in its future economic development. Existing mining and energy production facilities are in need of significant investment for their modernization. New infrastructure is needed in other areas, such as transport, aviation, water, waste, healthcare and social infrastructure. Lacking in finance needed to build new or upgrade existing infrastructure the state increasingly relies on PPP. Serbia’s legal and institutional frameworks have been reformed in order to facilitate new investment in infrastructure and the exploration and exploitation of its significant natural resources.
