Tanja Unguran is a partner at MIM Law.
Tanja Unguran is in charge of Tax, Corporate and M&A matters at MIM Law. Tanja has over 15 years’ experience advising clients on both legal and tax aspects of some of the biggest commercial transactions in the region. She also has significant experience in supporting large investment projects, in particular with respect to availing and optimizing investment incentives, such as direct cash subsidies, tax incentives and other types of governmental support available in Serbia to foreign investors. In addition to her specialization in tax and commercial matters, Tanja has gained specific expertise in energy projects, and was amongst the first lawyers to advise clients on renewable energy projects in Serbia, Montenegro, and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Prior to joining MIM Law, Tanja was a partner in one of the largest law firms in the region, where she was in charge of the firm’s Corporate & Tax Department, and founder of firm’s Energy & Infrastructure Group. Tanja holds an LL.B. from the University of Belgrade, Faculty of Law and an LL.M in International Business Law from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law. She is a member of the Bar Association of Serbia and the International Fiscal Association. She is a national reporter for Serbia’s VAT system for the IBFD’s International VAT Monitor. She is fluent in English.
